The UPre Women program has been shortlisted among the eight finalists for the 2026 CEB Award for Social Cohesion, selected from 177 nominations from across Europe. The CEB Award for Social Cohesion 2026 is presented by the Council of Europe Development Bank and is intended for initiatives that have a significant social impact in one of the 43 member states\u2014particularly in the area of supporting vulnerable groups.<\/p>

Nominations for this year’s selection came from as many as 32 member countries, with only 8 of them making it to the shortlist. This means that the UPre for Women program stood out among strong international competition, and its results are significant even in the broader European context.<\/p>

We consider being part of such strong international competition to be a great honor:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\u201cWe see the fact that our UPre Women program made it to the finals as a recognition of our work. We\u2019re disappointed that we didn\u2019t win the award, but at the same time we\u2019re pleased that the award went to three desperately needed initiatives that help the most vulnerable. The winner was WINGS Ukraine, a nationwide initiative led by the non-governmental organization Club \u201cEney,\u201d for its support of women facing violence, exclusion, poverty, and substance abuse in the context of war. We deeply feel the need to help people suffering from the war in Ukraine and to show solidarity with women who face additional challenges and disadvantages. I therefore fully agree with the jury\u2019s decision.\u201d \t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The CEB Award for Social Cohesion was established in 2020 and recognizes projects that make a significant contribution to social cohesion. Starting in 2024, the grand prize will be 45,000 euros, and the other two finalists will each receive 5,000 euros.
